I guess it’s been a while since my last post. Looking back, it’s what? Almost 5 months ago! Well, I’ve been busy! Yes, yes, haven’t we all? Okay, so let’s jump right into the updates!
I’m glad that I wasn’t doing nothing for the past 5 months. I’ve been studying and working — more of the latter though. I managed to get a new certificate. It’s the MCTS: Web Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4. I’m quite happy with that. I started studying for my next certificate, SQL 2008 development. I haven’t studied for a while though. Like I said, work kept me busy. So what else have I been doing? Well aside from watching my favorite shows and anime, I’ve been enjoying myself with Android development. Yup, Android. I know it’s taken me a long time to get my hands wet with Android and it’s really a shame since I’m a proud droidian.
I’ve gotta say though, Android development is unlike anything I’ve done before. Sure my experience isn’t that extensive, but I got a small taste for other languages like C++, Java, and Objective-C. Even though Android is developed entirely in Java (And XML) and using the familiar Eclipse IDE, it still feels like a completely new beast. I can say rightly so. The idea that every application in Android is separate yet can communicate with any and all other applications is just amazing. I’m working my way in the world of the little green droid and hopefully I’ll be able to add that tool under my programming belt.
